The Woven Pathway

I rolled straight through the open double doors of the flower shop, drawn in by the cool, glassy green slate tiles! Rows of galvanized buckets were lined up along the aisle, but right near the register table, a flat oval seagrass mat was laid out like an island. I picked up speed, crouched low over my skates, and aimed to clear the edge with a smooth hop! My back wheels clipped the textured woven fringe—thrum-slide! The mat gave a gentle skid, carrying me forward in an unexpected surf before bumping softly against a wooden crate of lavender bunches. I grabbed the crate rim, breathless and laughing at my impromptu carpet ride!#Dolls #AmericanGirl #Skate #Carpet #Funny
