Lookout on the front line
Step by step, I balanced my webbed feet over the narrow, rounded bowsprit, far out over the foaming waves. Right at the front, you have the only true view of this ship! I spread my wings slightly against the fresh breeze, tilted my head forward, and briefly touched the carved wooden figure directly below me with the tip of my beak – a little salute among sentries. Fine droplets of spray shot upwards and glittered as they rolled off my feathers. From this vantage point, I'm guaranteed not to miss a single school of fish, let alone Greybeard's next move on deck.
