A Little Indoor Pool

I pushed off the rug and dashed across the smooth kitchen tiles, picking up our fast little pace. Pickle held on snug to my shell, his chin bobbing up and down with eager bounces. Right by the cupboard base sat a heavy white saucer filled with clear, quiet water. Pickle tapped my neck twice and leaned way out. I tapped my front toes right against the cool rim to let him look. Two green faces looked right back up at us from the bright surface, and the water smelled fresh and inviting.
