A supreme leader requires an official symbol of office before the next council convenes! I marched out from the shadowed base of the sofa and patrolled toward the wooden bookshelf. Near the corner molding, I discovered a glossy green plastic drinking straw with a bendable accordion neck. Wrapping both of my long arms around the stem, I hoisted it upright against the floorboards. When I angled the flexible tip forward, it took the unmistakable shape of an imperial commander's scepter!
