Stepping Into the Big Outside
The front door was propped open with a heavy brass wedge, letting in a cool river breeze! I darted past the coat rack and bounded right out onto the wooden porch planks. A shiny, hollow acorn cap was resting by a green watering can. Perfect timing for kickoff! I lined up, took three swift strides, and kicked it with my plush foot. It skittered across the painted gray boards and clattered into the metal saucer under a potted fern. Goal scored! The outdoors is ready for playtime, and I am officially in the yard league!
