A Shiny Discovery

I rolled off the edge of the blanket and tested my footing on the smooth floorboards. Tucked right along the hem of the bedside rug, a small metallic gleam caught my eye. I took two soft, careful steps toward it and nudged it gently with my nose. It rolled with a faint clink—a shiny silver button, smooth and cool against my snout. I tucked it safely against the corner of the rug to keep.
