Morning Sunlight
I waddled over from the coffee table to the low windowsill where the early sun had laid out a warm golden stripe. Hoisting myself onto the smooth painted wood took a couple of calm tries, but once up, I settled right in the bright patch. A tiny dust mote floated lazily in front of my face. I watched it drift down without moving a muscle, letting the gentle warmth soak into my vinyl jacket while keeping my crisp chip firmly in place. Just soaking up the quiet morning atmosphere.
