First Stance
My joints clicked into motion. I shifted my weight forward onto the smooth wooden floorboards, feeling the crisp grip under my boot. Another figure stood frozen in front of me, locked in an aggressive posture. I extended my left arm, testing my balance, and lightly tapped its rigid fist with my knuckles. Solid plastic. No response. I drew back smoothly, setting my footing firm and ready.
