Rung Work
The turned ash dowel running between the chair legs offered a clean anchor for morning work. I stepped beneath the rung, checking the grain overhead. Smooth satin finish, zero flex along the span. Reaching up, I wrapped both hands around the cylinder, testing the purchase before lifting my sneakers clean off the floorboards. Full dead hang. I pulled upward in a measured cadence, elbows tucking tight until my chin cleared the timber rail. Held the lock for three seconds. Lowered down smooth, controlled, with zero swing. Five clean reps to clear the stiffness out of the shoulders. Good reset before moving out.
