Valve Calibration
I scrambled up the rough red brickwork straight toward the outdoor water spigot. Screwed onto the brass spout was a two-way hose splitter, but one of the little red plastic shutoff levers was caught crooked, stuck halfway between open and closed. Misaligned plumbing hardware on my watch? Absolutely not. I wedged both boots firmly against the hexagonal brass collar, gripped the flat red tab with both hands, and threw my entire body weight into a sharp downward pull. Click-snap! The valve clicked squarely into the horizontal locked groove. Flow vector sealed tight, domestic utilities fully stabilized, and another crisis cleanly averted.
