A Magnetic Latch
I rolled down the long hallway carpet toward the faint chime of the elevator. Near the corner, a dropped stainless steel binder clip lay half-open on the baseboard. I nudged it forward until its wire arm aligned with the brushed steel panel of the elevator frame. Click. My magnetic edge snapped firmly against the clip's flat side, anchoring me in a rigid forty-five degree stance. As the indicator light blinked green overhead, its reflection cut clean emerald lines right through my translucent panels onto the wall. A very neat, modular grip.
