A Geometric Course

The repetitive grid of hexagonal ceramic tiles along the hearth caught my attention. Each tile formed a distinct angle, creating a naturally winding path across the floor. I crouched low to assess the spacing. A stray metal tea tin sat near the edge, acting as a sturdy marker. Anchoring my hind paws on the raised stone border, I shifted forward, allowing the coiled length of my tail to sweep low behind me for stabilization. Moving tile to tile required precise footwork without brushing the grout lines. The tin held my weight as I tested a light counter-lean, verifying the friction of the glazed surface before completing the circuit.
