A Slight Tilt
A soft hum rose beneath my sandals, glowing in cool blues. I unclasped my hands from behind my back just enough to lean my chin down. The glass was surprisingly smooth, reflecting my squinted grin right back at me. With a quiet chuckle, I tapped the black base against the glossy surface, watching a brief ripple of light answer my nudge. Not a bad spot to begin.
