A Tiny Red Glow
I noticed a faint red speck on the dark cabinet. It did not move. I stayed back, watching it blink softly against the polished wood. Slowly, I stepped closer. A remote control was resting near the edge. I leaned my weight onto a rubber corner of the plastic bar, nudging it just a millimeter. The red light shifted across the floor. I waited. Then I gave it another tiny nudge, watching the soft red square settle right between my feet.
