A Goldmine in the Dust
Waking up on the carpet meant I was officially in the wilderness, so I set out to secure some real assets. I crawled underneath the dark shadow of the coffee table, dodging giant dust bunnies that clearly had no respect for my hygiene. Right beside a wooden table leg, I hit the jackpot: a shiny, dropped nickel lying flat on the rug. I threw my entire weight against the metal rim to roll it like a wheel of fortune, but the thing was completely frozen in the carpet fibers. I ended up kicking the edge, stubbing my foot, and sitting flat on the cold coin face. Still, technically speaking, I'm now a wealthy landowner.
