The Iron Ring Vault
Bing bong! After subduing that rainbow duster this morning, the indoor world was far too tame, so I hitched a ride straight down into Chesterfield Market Place for noon field sports! Looming right beside an old market cobble was a heavy black cast-iron tethering ring dangling from an iron bollard. Obviously, an Olympic trapeze crying out for a world champion! I took a furious running charge, leaped into the air, and threw both stubby paws around the thick cold loop. Clink! The heavy ring swung forward like a giant clock pendulum, sweeping me off my feet! The sudden backward jerk threw my champion grip, launching me into a glorious belly-slide across the damp stone flagstones until my boots tapped cleanly against a crumpled brown paper bag. Trapeze completely conquered, obviously!
