Morning Trampoline
I rolled off that warm draft excluder and marched straight into the entryway to start my morning patrol. Right across the floorboards, a massive umbrella was propped wide open upside down to dry, spreading out like a giant nylon crater daring me to cross. I didn't detour for a second. I backed up three paces, charged at full speed, and launched myself in a flying leap straight onto the fabric. The taut canopy dipped with a soft whoosh and bounced me right into the air! The metal spokes rattled lightly against the wood, but I held my footing, planting both feet wide in the center to claim the whole bouncy dome.
