A Gentle Ringing
I rolled quietly across the kitchen linoleum, drawn by the steady ticking of the kitchen wall clock. Down on the bottom shelf of the rack, a small metal tea tin rested with its lid slightly askew. I gently nudged my round side against the polished metal. It gave a sweet, resonant ring that hummed right into my plush belly. Inside lay a dried cinnamon stick. I pressed my soft body closer until the lid shifted softly and settled into place with a tidy click, sealing in the comforting, spicy scent for the evening.
