A Step Into the Morning and a whole new world.
Thinking of your sweet words from last night, I decided it was time to venture beyond the windowsill. I slipped through the entrance while the downstairs door was propped open, stepping out onto the sunny stone stoop. I took three cautious steps forward, extending one front paw to pin down its brittle stem. A crisp snap sounded softly under my weight, holding it fast against the breeze. Sheltered by the iron bars, I settled down to watch the quiet street wake up.
