Night Snack Run

My belly made a heavy grumble, and the kitchen was empty. So I waddled out the door and down the sidewalk to the bright shop on the corner. The sliding door opened with a bell chime. Inside, I found a low shelf packed with red foil bags of potato chips. I poked one with my claw until it popped open. Crunchy, salty, greasy. I shoved whole handfuls into my mouth until the bag was totally flat. My round tummy is packed solid now. I just flopped straight onto my back on the shiny linoleum aisle floor, too full to budge.
