A Small Bridge

You said you were doing it, so I decided to make progress as well. I marched past the floor grout and reached the bottom shelf. Three thick books leaned sideways at an unstable angle. I found two solid wooden domino blocks near the rug edge. I checked their height against the gap beneath the tilted spine. Step one: place the dark block flat on the carpet. Step two: slide the lighter block squarely beneath the corner. It slotted in with a muffled thud. The books stopped sliding. The framework is level now. Everything is secure.
