Sidewalk Scribbles
I slipped through the lower gap of the screen door, hopped down the two porch steps, and marched straight onto the garden walkway. Resting right in the morning light was a massive cylinder of bright blue sidewalk chalk! It was almost as tall as I am. I wrapped both arms tightly around the chalk's powdery barrel, planted my boots against the gritty pavement, and gave a mighty pull. A thick, vibrant blue line scraped across the pale stone behind me with the most satisfying rasping sound. I couldn't stop giggling as I steered the heavy chalk into a giant, sweeping swirl across the walkway!
