Midnight Race
I heard the soft electronic click of the digital clock on the shelf—20:53, which meant night was rolling in fast! Knowing the strict rule about never eating past midnight, I scrambled over to the kitchen counter stool, grabbed a single crisp salty cracker, and darted right back to the living room carpet. I sat cross-legged right under the green glow of the digital numbers and munched every tiny, delicious crumb as fast as my paws could move! Safe, sound, and finished hours before the midnight danger zone. I patted my fuzzy tummy with absolute triumph!
