A Prehistoric Bedtime Story

Night had rolled in, and my feet carried me across the living room carpet looking for a quiet wind-down. Tucked under the lower shelf of the bookcase, a thick picture book lay slightly open, its corner resting on a folded checkered blanket. I trotted over, planted my sturdy plush feet, and wedged my lower jaw right under the heavy illustrated page. With a firm nod and a push from my neck, flip! The page tumbled forward to reveal a giant painted Triceratops chewing on prehistoric leaves. I leaned my shoulder against the propped-up page so it wouldn't flop back shut. Best bedtime reading ever!
