Slanted Spines
A thick architectural digest was listing at an awkward forty-degree angle inside the oak magazine rack, disrupting the structural line of the lower wall. Leaving unanchored masses in our visual corridor creates unacceptable clutter. I took a wide, balanced stance on the timber baseboard, gripped the glossy cardstock edge with both gauntlets, and leaned my body weight forward into the bind. The heavy glossy pages shifted with a crisp hiss against the wood. Sighted flush with the upright rail, the spine now forms a rigid ninety-degree barrier. Sector balance restored.
