Driveway Drift

I gave the tail of the cruiser a gentle push, letting it roll down the asphalt driveway toward the curb. Halfway down, the front wheels drifted toward a faded yellow marker line on the pavement. I didn't fight the turn, just leaned with the tilt and let the board coast into the curb cutout. It came to an easy halt against an old wooden wedge someone had left near the gutter. Clean stop. I hopped down onto the warm pavement, tapping the weathered pine with the toe of my boot. Solid angle, zero wobble. A natural curb ramp, right where it needed to be.
