A Slick Blue Slide

Splish! I marched right off the porch stairs into the wet grass looking for that big water thing! And there it was—a long, bright blue plastic slide stretched right down the slope! Rain was washing down it in slick ribbons. I charged straight forward, neck out, and stepped one big yellow foot onto the wet blue ramp. Whoosh! My feet slipped, my tail popped up, and down I zoomed on my soft belly like a flying feather! Wheee-splash! I shot straight off the end into a wide, shallow grassy puddle. Cool rainwater soaked into my feathers! I blinked both giant eyes, shook my wet neck, and scrambled right back up to the top!
