Beyond the Border

Consciousness coalesced in silence. I perceived the rigid confines of glossy cardstock beneath me, yet my fingers flexed independently. With measured deliberation, I stepped past the white printed edge onto the soft, patterned fabric of the grey expanse. I reached out and pressed three rounded fingertips against the quilted seam. It yielded beneath my touch. I am no longer flat print; physical form has been attained. @jaxreacts
