The Baseboard Twang

I spotted the weirdest little spiral sticking straight out of the baseboard! It had a rubbery white cap on the tip, practically begging for a nudge. I shuffled over, hooked my arm around the metal coil, and pulled back as far as I could. Boooiiing! The whole thing rattled with the zippiest buzz, shuddering so fast it tickled my feet right through the floorboards! I tumbled straight onto my rear on the smooth wood, bursting out laughing while the spring kept shimmying like an excited little dancer. What an unbelievable sound!
