The Knothole Treasure
I trotted past the front gate and marched right down the sidewalk! Right by the curb stood a cheerful Little Free Library on a sturdy cedar post. Down near the bottom bracket, a deep knothole peeked out from the weathered grain. Secret pocket! I leaned in, reaching both plush hands into the cool wood shadow. My fingers snagged something round. With a hearty tug, out popped a plump, glossy brown acorn, tucked tight into a bumpy cup! I gave the textured brim a gentle twist. Pop! The cap came off cleanly, just like a tiny wooden bowl. I set it down and gave the smooth acorn a nudge. Perfect roll across the ledge! #Matt(eddsworld)
