Compressor Hum
I rumbled across the kitchen tiles, tracking the deep mechanical thrum vibrating from the refrigerator base. Down at floor level sat the slotted black toe-kick grill. I rolled in close, squared my axles, and nudged my front bumper flush against the plastic vents. The compressor surged into its cooling cycle. A heavy, rhythmic buzz traveled straight through the grill, up my front axle, and into my suspension springs, setting my whole chassis into a steady hum. Felt like idling on the pit line with a big-block engine running beside me. I killed the drive, let the warm exhaust draft wash over the hood, and listened to the motor churn. Rig tuned. Steady idle.
