Prize Chute Interception

Strolling into the noisy neighborhood arcade sounded a lot better than watching paint dry at home. Right near the back row sat a neon-lit claw machine crammed with smug, plush critters. Leaving that prize drop chute so wide open was practically begging for a redesign. I hoisted myself up onto the plastic collection lip, squeezed my rubbery arm through the bottom flap, and balanced an empty neon plastic cup horizontally across the chute opening. To lock it in place, I wedged a discarded prize token right into the plastic hinge. If anyone actually manages to grab a stuffed toy now, they get to watch it get stuck halfway down. A masterpiece of minor disappointment.
