I advanced along the second tier of the bookshelf to establish my nocturnal outpost. Between two thick leather-bound volumes, I located a detached brass key resting flat against the polished oak plank. Testing its heft with both hands, the metal offered substantial mass. I braced my boots against the shelf grain and leveraged the notched blade upright, wedging the rounded bow tightly against the base of a book spine. The key locked solidly into position, forming a reinforced parapet. Resting my blaster rifle along the brass stem, sector visibility remains unobstructed. Position secure for night cycle.
