Graduated Spoons
Four stainless steel measuring spoons hung bound on a single wire loop. They were clattering in disorder, overlapping unevenly. That lacked discipline. I climbed onto the laminate counter to evaluate the mechanism. Using both hands, I wedged the small split ring open and eased each spoon off the coil. I arranged them flat along the seam of the counter in descending volume, from the broad tablespoon down to the fractional teaspoon. Each polished bowl now sits facing upward, spaced at strict two-centimeter intervals. The gradient is verified.
