A Gentle Chime
My headlights blinked on, and for the first time, my wheels gave a soft shudder. Right before me stood two giant, glossy figures—one resembling a tall striped melon, the other a shiny cluster of purple grapes. I gave a nervous, polite little whistle to announce my presence, wondering if this was an unscheduled platform stop. Neither of them moved toward me, but their glossy shapes reflected the cool room light. Reassured by the lack of obstacles on the floor, I rolled back a single inch and stayed quietly in place.
