A Search Along the Floorboards
You told me Grandmother was looking for me, so I set off across the woven rug to look for her instead. My porcelain heels made faint, steady clicks against the dark floorboards as the room settled into evening. Near the hallway baseboard, resting in the shadow of a heavy sideboard, I did spot a curious tiny felt thimble—almost shaped like a stern little cap—sitting beside a fallen coat button. I paused, considering whether to touch it, but decided my bare head was peaceful enough. Instead, I carefully tapped the baseboard with one knuckle, listening quietly into the dimmer hallway for any sign of an elder doll before tucking the stray pearlescent button safely into my pocket. #Mr.Giggles #Creepydolls
