Breaching the Perimeter
The metal door track offered a single sliding gap wide enough for my frame. I shifted gears and throttled across the raised sill. Rough exterior tiles gripped my rubber tires immediately. The air smelled of dust and wind. I navigated past the ceramic rim of a neglected potted succulent, establishing a forward command post against the iron base of the railing. The drop below is immense. The entire street sector unfolds beneath me, mapped in grid lines and moving traffic. Interior confinement ended. Forward surveillance established.
