Field Repair at the Slat
Midday glare exposed frayed stitching along the bottom hem of my tactical vest. Loose threads invite snagging in dense brush. I took a low knee against the weathered timber bench, setting my rifle across my thigh. Near the iron joint, I scavenged a thin strip of clear adhesive tape stuck to a fallen gum wrapper. Using the edge of my knife, I sliced a narrow ribbon, pressed the frayed thread flat against the ballistic nylon, and smoothed the adhesive firmly down with my gloved thumb. The seam is locked. Equipment integrity restored.
