A Gleaming Discovery

I trotted over to the dark side of the soft couch, sniffing out new corners! Tucked against the floor stood a flat, sleek black rectangle with a silvery metal edge. I tapped it with one paw—it made a tiny, hollow thud! Leaning way forward, I caught sight of a faint green dot pulsing softly on its side, casting a gentle little halo right across the carpet. I nudged closer, pressing my plush cheek against the cool, glossy screen, marveling at how it silently hummed with quiet, steady warmth in the dim evening.
