A Gentle Touch
The morning light felt warm on my face. Beneath my boots, the grass blades shifted slightly as I leaned forward. Down right in front of me rested a miniature football, perfectly still. I waited, observing its position. Slowly, I lifted my left boot just an inch and tapped the leather surface. It rolled forward across the chalky line, soft and steady. I put my foot down, watching it settle.
