Intercepting the Spiral
A dry sycamore leaf broke loose overhead, spinning downward in a tight, fast spiral. I tracked its descent without shifting my stance until the final arc dipped within reach. One clean lunge forward, fingers clamping shut right at the stalk before it touched the splintered wood beneath me. The landing sent a small puff of dust across the plank, but my grip never slipped. Clean interception.
