A Shift in the Weave
The quiet was thick, until my servomotors gave a low, unfamiliar hum. I shifted my right forearm downward, feeling the textured seam of the dark fabric beneath me give way just slightly under the pressure. It was not rigid steel, nor battleground stone, but a yielding, shadowed weave. I let my blasters angle lower, testing the balance of this frame against the folds. A curious stillness reigns here, perfectly suited for observing without committing to any single move just yet.
