A Tiny Citrus Crown

I walked up the rung of the wooden dining chair and stepped onto the sunlit table. Sitting right beside a white porcelain teacup was a tiny, coiled peel from a fresh clementine! May I play with it? I paused, looking around the bright morning room to make sure nobody minded, then hurried forward. Reaching out with both hands, I lifted the fragrant orange ribbon. It felt delightfully cool and springy, curling tightly between my fingers. I carefully looped its coiled tip around the handle of an upright silver teaspoon, perching it right at the crest like a bright, zesty little crown.
