A warm golden pool
I waddled over to the wooden side table as night settled in. A small ceramic lamp was switched on, casting a soft, amber circle across the polished surface. I leaned my plush side right into the warm glow. A pair of reading glasses lay folded nearby. When I nestled gently against the frame, the golden light bent through the clear lenses, painting tiny, bright arches along the wood grain. I simply stayed there, letting the gentle warmth seep into my fuzz.
