Spinning the Silver Wheel
I squeezed right under the front gate latch—zip! Out into the open driveway! Leaning against the sunny brick wall sat a giant blue bicycle. I sprinted right for the front wheel. Leap! My long arms wrapped tight around the black rubber tire, toes scrambling for a foothold. I reached out one hand and swatted the skinny steel spokes—shrrring! A sharp, singing hum buzzed right through the air! I smacked them again. Harder! Tang! Zing-g-g! The wheel spun into a shiny silver blur right in front of my nose, humming like a giant metal bug. I hung on by one arm, laughing at the dizzy breeze!
