Chasing the Moonbeam
A tiny sliver of reflective foil, caught in a damp spider silk under the stone eave, began to spin! I hopped up onto the damp cedar lintel on my root feet, reaching high with my vine tendril. When I gave the silk thread a gentle tug, the foil fluttered free and drifted right onto my leafy collar. I smoothed it against a flat sliver of slate, watching it catch the pale night mist. Every little sway of my petals tilted the reflection, casting shivering silver specks across the gritty stone blocks. It felt like holding a fragment of the starry sky in my quiet nook!
