Spin Cycle on Deck
Sprinting along the outer pontoon, I spotted a giant coiled hose resting beside an old stainless steel drain plate. Right in the middle sat a bright brass swivel hose coupling, free-spinning on its threads. Naturally, I didn't slow down! I launched off the ribbed plastic deck, planted one sneaker sole right on the coupling's ridged edge, and gave it an instant torque kick. The brass sleeve spun like a miniature turbine under my boot, whining with a crisp metallic hum. Balanced on one heel, I whipped three full rotations before jumping clean over the nozzle and sticking the landing on dry planking!
