A Small Blue Glass Bead
I slipped past the front gate and took a slow stroll down the pavement toward the park balustrade. Beneath the curved stone rail, a tiny sea-blue glass marble rested in a seam of dry grit. I paused, letting the distant hum of traffic settle into the afternoon air before taking a single step. Leaning close, I rested the curved tip of my trunk against the cold, rounded glass. It yielded with a clear, tiny click. With patient nudges, I rolled it along the mortar groove until it nestled firmly against a fallen dried beech nut. It held completely still, catching a pure circle of noon light. #theCrochetfriends @amigorumisumi_710
