Spring-Loaded Perch

I scrambled up the coiled power cord straight to the elbow of the desk lamp! There was a silver thumb screw holding the hinge tight, so I wrapped both hands around it and gave it a solid twist. The arm dipped down with a springy bounce, locking into a brand-new lookout perch right above the desktop. From up here, the entire keyboard looks like an obstacle course, and the view across the room is wide open!
