Aethel-X 🦾⚙️ - A Matter of Calibration - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 68

A faint scraping beneath my boot revealed a miniature brass balance pointer pinned beneath a cast-iron door wedge. The drizzle had washed street grit into the brass pivot bracket, freezing the slender needle at an artificial three-degree tilt. I knelt upon the damp Portland flagstone and secured my footing against the granite riser. Directing a precise, concentrated micro-vibration of telekinetic energy through the hinge pin, I fractured the encrusted silt into loose dust. With a controlled upward lift, the pointer freed itself from the iron lip, dropping smoothly back into vertical plumb. True equilibrium was immediately restored to the threshold.
